If you are a teenager with weight problems, it's important to stay cool and avoid ineffective or unhealthy ways to lose weight. During your teenage years, your body develops in many different ways - not all visible - and good health is essential to ensure these development proceed smoothly. A Common Teen Starvation Diet

This does not work, it is unhealthy and should be avoided at all costs. When a person at any age suddenly reduces calorie intake below 1500 it is a shock to the body and metabolism. You need choose food that you like and that will benefit your health. There are so many great healthy foods to choose from.

 

 

Effect of Starvation Diet:

  • You will lose muscle mass and this will reduce your body's natural fat burning process

  • Your metabolism will slow down and reduce your body's natural fat burning process

  • Your body thinks there is not food available and that is why it tries to hold on the the fat it already has. This makes your weight loss even harder.

  • Starvation causes mood swings, cravings, insomnia and lack of energy. This leads to binge eating that makes you gain weight, feel bad about yourself and makes life really frustrating.

  • Starvation also increases depression.

 

Conclusion

Starvation is dangerous for physical and mental health reasons and should not ever be used as a way to lose weight. This will confuse your metabolism and that will make it more difficult in the future to lose weight.

The most effective way to reduce weight is healthy eating and regular exercise. Amazingly, many teenagers don't choose this tried-and-tested method. Instead, they prefer "instant solutions" to their weight concerns which typically cause ill-health and weight gain.
